Help Support Families and Animals in Need
As we look at the holidays through their eyes—wild, vibrant and full of wonder—we’re also reminded of the strength it takes to endure challenging times. For many in Western North Carolina, this holiday season will look different, not by choice, but because of the devastation left behind by Hurricane Helene. While we celebrate, we know some families and animals are struggling, and we want to take this opportunity to bring holiday joy back to those whose lives have been upended.
This year, we’re inspired by the resilience and creativity of animals, who adapt and thrive no matter the challenge. Just as animals persevere in the face of adversity, we believe in celebrating that same resilience in the people and communities affected by the storm.This year, we’re not only imagining the holidays—we’re committed to helping those who need it most. Through Festive Fables, we’ve partnered with local shelters and food banks in Western North Carolina to provide support, ensuring that no one—human or animal—is left out in the cold.
MANNA FoodBank, based in Asheville, NC, is a vital force in addressing food insecurity across 16 counties in Western North Carolina, including the Qualla Boundary. In the wake of Hurricane Helene, MANNA has ramped up its efforts, working with over 200 partner pantries and service organizations to distribute food to families affected by the storm’s devastation. Every day, MANNA and its network deliver more than 50,000 pounds of food, providing essential support to neighbors in need during this challenging time.
Brother Wolf Animal Rescue, a lifeline for thousands of animals since 2007, suffered devastating losses from Hurricane Helene, including their shelter in Asheville. While their animals were safely evacuated, the organization now faces the immense challenge of rebuilding. Support is desperately needed to help Brother Wolf continue their mission of saving lives and providing hope for animals amidst the community’s ongoing recovery.
Our Commitment
Able&Co. is proud to support the rebuilding efforts in Western North Carolina by collecting donations for two incredible organizations dedicated to providing relief and care to those affected by Hurricane Helene. We’ve set a goal of $5,000, and we’re matching the total given up to $5,000, doubling the impact and ensuring even more families and animals receive the support they need this holiday season.
